12 candidates in UP and 19 in Bengal will be announced soon, brainstorming in BJP’s CEC meeting

In the meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) for the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday, the names of candidates from other states including the remaining 25 seats of UP were discussed. In the meeting of BJP’s CEC, the discussion on all 25 seats of UP ended. According to sources, the names of candidates for 10 to 12 seats out of 25 seats of UP may be announced in BJP’s next list.

All the top leaders including PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda were present in the BJP CEC meeting.

 

Out of the remaining 22 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, 19 were discussed. State unit leaders including Bengal state president Sukanta Majumdar participated. Discussion could not be held on only 3 seats of Bengal. Discussion could not be held in the CEC meeting on Asansol today. BJP has already announced candidates for 20 out of 42 seats in Bengal.

 

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had arrived for the meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee. BJP National President JP Nadda welcomed him. Before the meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for about 4 hours.

 

According to the information, PM Modi was informed about the names of the candidates who came in the meeting of all the state core groups in the last two weeks and the shortlisted list. After the meeting at PM’s house ended, President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah reached BJP office together in the same car and participated in the CEC meeting there.

 

BJP has announced the names of 51 candidates from UP

Let us tell you that all eyes are on Uttar Pradesh. BJP has announced the names of 51 candidates. So far BJP has released a total of four lists. In the first list, the names of 51 candidates from UP were announced.

 

BJP’s CEC has met twice before this. BJP has so far announced the names of candidates for 291 Lok Sabha seats. In these meetings, decisions were taken on the seats of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Kerala and Telangana and other states.

Discussion on names of candidates for the remaining seats

The BJP has not yet announced the names of candidates for many seats in some of these states. At least three of the declared candidates, including Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, have withdrawn their candidature after some controversy over their names.

 

The BJP has already announced the names of the party’s prominent faces including PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari for the elections. All are contesting from their current constituencies.

 

It is noteworthy that the Election Commission has announced to conduct the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in seven phases. It will start with the voting on April 19. Voting for the seventh phase and the final phase will be held on June 1.
