UP Police arrested a youth from Purnia, Bihar who had tried to scare 1000 people at the Kumbh Mela by threatening to blow them up with a bomb.

Police and intelligence agencies are receiving threatening letters or messages every day regarding the Maha Kumbh Mela being organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Recently, a similar Instagram message was traced by the police. In this, there was a threat of blowing up 1000 people by detonating a bomb in the Kumbh Mela. On seeing this message, the police swung into action and while investigating the matter, arrested a youth from Purnia in Bihar.

The UP Police has carried out this action in collaboration with Purnia Police of Bihar. In this, a youth living in Shahidganj of Bhawanipur police station area has been arrested. According to the police, the youth has been identified as Ayush Jaiswal alias Golu. Ayush had given the threat on Instagram using a fake name ‘Nasr Pathan’. He had directly threatened to explode the Maha Kumbh Mela and blow up 1000 people with a bomb.

Fake ID was created on social media

According to the police, to trap his friend, on December 31, the accused Ayush created an Instagram account named ‘nasar_kattar_miya’. He hoped that the police would take this threat seriously and arrest his friend. After posting the message on Instagram, the accused also deleted his account. However, the UP Police, while investigating the case, caught the real accused.

Revelation from mobile tower location

The police reached the accused through mobile CDR (Contact Detail Record) and tower location. Investigation revealed that the mobile number that threatened was from Purnia in Bihar. The STF and ATS team started further investigation and found out that the accused youth had fled to Nepal. According to the mobile tower location, as soon as the youth moved towards Nepal, his phone was switched off. After this, the UP STF very cleverly arrested him as soon as he returned.

Father said that his son is innocent

After the arrest, the accused youth’s father, Jaikrishna Jaiswal, claimed that his son is innocent. He said that Ayush had gone to Nepal to celebrate the New Year, and when he returned, the police arrested him. Jaikrishna also said that his son has no connection with any criminal incident and the police entered his house and searched it without any reason. However, the STF and ATS teams are now trying to find out whom Ayush had gone to meet in Nepal.
