Police has arrested Suresh Chandrakar, the main accused in the murder case of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar of Chhattisgarh. Bijapur’s cyber police and SIT team have arrested Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad. An officer said that to catch the accused, call details of about 300 mobiles and footage of 200 CCTV cameras were searched. Then it was found that he was hiding in Hyderabad. After this, a team of Bijapur and SIT reached Hyderabad and arrested him.

Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar had exposed corruption worth crores in a road construction in Bijapur. Suresh Chandrakar had taken the contract for the construction of this road. Mukesh Chandrakar had raised questions on the road construction and its tender process. Meanwhile, journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was murdered on January 1. The crime was committed by Suresh Chandrakar’s brother Ritesh Chandrakar and supervisor Mahendra Ramteke. The journalist’s dead body was found by the police in a septic tank three days later.

Two accused already arrested
The police have already arrested Ritesh Chandrakar, supervisor Mahendra Ramteke and Dinesh Chandrakar in the case of tampering with evidence. Now, Bijapur police has arrested accused Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad. It is being told that the main accused Suresh Chandrakar was hiding at his driver’s place in Hyderabad. To reach the main accused, the police scanned 200 CCTV cameras and traced about 300 mobile numbers, only then the main accused Suresh Chandrakar could be arrested.

SIT team is investigating the murder case
The police has made Suresh Chandrakar the main accused in the journalist murder case. An 11-member SIT is investigating the matter. In this case, the police had seized Suresh’s bank accounts. According to the police, on January 1, Suresh Chandrakar’s brother Ritesh called the journalist and called him to his place. When Mukesh Chandrakar reached the place mentioned by them, supervisor Mahendra and his brother Ritesh brutally murdered him. There were severe knife wounds on his body. After committing the crime, his body was thrown into a septic tank.
