Congress is trying to open its account in Delhi assembly elections after 10 years and is focusing on DM i.e. Dalit-Muslim factor, but its allies in All India Alliance are increasing its troubles. Especially SP President Akhilesh Yadav and TMC chief Mamta Banerjee have increased the party’s troubles by announcing to support Aam Aadmi Party.
Even in bad political times in 2013, despite the defeat of then CM Sheila Dikshit, Congress had won 8 seats. At that time it was said that DM factor i.e. Dalit Muslim vote bank supported it because those 8 seats included seats like Sultanpur Mazra, Gandhi Nagar, Ballimaran, Chandni Chowk. Now with the help of this vote bank, Congress is desperate to open its account in Delhi politics again.
12 reserved 8 Muslim majority seats
Congress’s entire focus is on Dalit and Muslim vote bank, so that its account can be opened in the assembly elections after 10 years. There are 12 reserved seats in Delhi and about 8 seats are Muslim dominated, where victory and defeat are decided by Muslim votes. From 1998 to 2013, Congress has won most of these 20 seats. These seats have been paving the way for Congress to come to power.
Congress has this hope
Congress is hopeful that its base Dalit and Muslim vote bank will return in this election. That is why Congress has tried to look serious by fielding Sandeep Dixit against former CM Arvind Kejriwal and Alka Lamba against CM Atishi. Congress leader Pawan Khera says that Congress is a 138-year-old party, when our vote returns, it brings back more votes with it.
Congress is facing many difficulties
Congress may have pinned its hopes on the core voter, but the party is facing no less difficulties.
1. Congress is fighting the elections alone in Delhi to save the India alliance, the central leadership has distanced itself from the elections.
2. There is a big struggle ahead to make the contest between AAP and BJP triangular.
3. Akhilesh and Mamta have angered Congress by supporting AAP among UP and Bengali voters.
Sandeep Dixit said- Akhilesh forgot the insult of his father
After the announcement of support to Aam Aadmi Party by Samajwadi Party, Congress leader Sandeep Dixit has said that Akhilesh Yadav has probably forgotten the insult of his father. These are the same people who called Mulayam Singh Yadav the most corrupt leader of the country. He said that if a son forgets the insult of his father, then he can support anyone.
