Delhi: Ahead of the Assembly Elections, Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today met the Chief Election Commissioner and handed him a letter alleging that Parvesh Verma is openly distributing Rs 1100 to women.

The activities regarding the Assembly elections 2025 have intensified in Delhi. There is a round of allegations and counter-allegations between senior leaders of political parties. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal met Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and complained about BJP leader Pravesh Verma. Kejriwal said that the house of New Delhi BJP candidate Pravesh Verma should be raided immediately, as he is openly distributing Rs 1100 to women.

‘Pravesh Verma is asking for votes by promising jobs’

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met the Chief Election Commissioner on Thursday and handed him a letter. Kejriwal has alleged in the letter that Pravesh Verma is openly distributing Rs 1100 to women. He is blatantly violating the election code of conduct. Pravesh Verma is asking for votes by promising jobs. Apart from this, the DEO should be suspended and transferred with immediate effect.

‘Kejriwal has started doing drama of Jat reservation’

At the same time, Pravesh Verma made a big allegation on Aam Aadmi Party and said that they called me traitor and insulted Jats. For the first time in Delhi, respected Dr. Sahib Singh ji, a Jat Chief Minister, was made by BJP. They called me traitor, insulted patriotic Jats and now when the New Delhi seat seemed to be slipping away, they started doing ‘drama’ of Jat reservation. BJP leader said, “Arvind Kejriwal ji, Jat community has understood your political tricks very well. Now don’t run away leaving the New Delhi seat. This time you have fallen into the hands of Jats, 36 communities of New Delhi are ready to forfeit your deposit. And yes, every time reservation was given to Jats by BJP. Voting in Delhi on 5 February, results on 8 February
Voting will be held on 5 February in a single phase on 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Results will come on 8 February. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar gave this information on Tuesday. From the day of announcement of dates to the results, the process of Delhi elections will be completed in 33 days. This time the elections and declaration of results are happening a week earlier than in 2015 and 2020.
