Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Ludhiana’s West constituency Gurpreet Gogi died after being shot in the head. After the incident, the police reached the spot and took the MLA’s body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The family says that MLA Gurpreet Gogi was present in his room. During this time, he died due to bullet injury under suspicious circumstances. There is mourning in the area after the incident.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Ludhiana West Gurpreet died after being shot. The MLA had returned from a program late at night. After coming home, he had asked for food from the family members. The wife was present in the other room. During this time, the wife panicked after hearing the sound of a gunshot and immediately reached the husband’s room. After reaching there, she saw that the husband was lying in a blood-soaked condition. Immediately after the incident, the wife informed the police about this.

The bullet was fired while cleaning the weapon
As soon as the matter came to light, the police reached the spot. The police immediately took MLA Gogi to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead after examination. The police has taken the body of the MLA into custody and sent it for post-mortem. It is coming to light that the MLA was cleaning his licensed weapon. During this time, the bullet was fired accidentally, which hit his head. This led to his death.

Ludhiana, Punjab: DCP Jaskaran Singh Teja says, ” Gurpreet Gogi was declared brought dead at the hospital, his body has been kept at the mortuary in DMC hospital. Post-mortem will be conducted. As per the family members, he shot himself accidentally, he sustained bullet.

Our MLA was very good. His departure in this way is a great loss for the party and the society. Gurmeet contested and won the election in 2022 on an AAP ticket.
