A tanker carrying a deadly chemical suddenly leaked in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening. Due to the toxic chemical in the tanker, people complained of irritation in their eyes. When the drivers also started facing problems, the police was informed. The police increased the leakage of the tanker and started the process of destroying the chemical. Also, a diversion has also been put on the road so that people do not face any problem.
According to the information, this whole matter is of Agra-Bombay Highway where a tanker carrying liquid ammonia suddenly started leaking on Rau, Tejaji Nagar police station area bypass road. After the leak, drivers started complaining of irritation in their eyes, after which the police was immediately informed. The police reached the spot and inspected it and also called fire brigade vehicles. Ambulances were also deployed on the spot.
The police has currently put up diversions from both sides so that no one faces any problem due to liquid ammonia. Police said that liquid ammonia causes irritation to people and people may also complain of burning sensation in their eyes. If it is in pure form, it can prove fatal. However, the liquid ammonia that was going in the tanker is 80 percent diluted, due to which it is less harmful.
Leakage of tanker was increased
Police said that in view of the leakage of the tanker, the tanker was taken to the bridge between the two police stations and the entire area was closed for movement there. Police said that experts were called who increased the leakage of liquid ammonia so that the tanker could be emptied soon and destroyed. Police is currently present at the spot.
