He also said that the water and electricity connections of the Dhobi community will be made domestic.

‘BJP will stop free education’

Targeting the BJP fiercely, Kejriwal said, ‘We have made education free in Delhi and have arranged excellent education for 18 lakh children. If BJP comes to power, they will stop free education. It is written in today’s resolution that free education in Delhi’s schools will be stopped. This means that free education will be stopped and will be given only to the needy, due to which people will have to visit the houses of leaders.’ Speaking on the issues of the Dhobi community, Kejriwal said, ‘Today all the big leaders of the Dhobi community of entire Delhi are with us.’

‘I will form a Dhobi Samaj Kalyan Board’

Kejriwal said, ‘There are some demands of the Dhobi community, which I accept and announce that after forming the government, I will form a Dhobi Samaj Kalyan Board.’ He also announced that the press thadas (where clothes are ironed) in different areas of Delhi will be regularized. He said that apart from this, the water and electricity connections of the Dhobi community will be made domestic, whereas currently commercial rates are charged from them. Kejriwal announced that the board will work for the welfare of the elderly of the Dhobi community and scholarships will be arranged for the children of this community.
