Only a few days are left for the Republic Day celebrations, for which preparations are in full swing. The full dress rehearsal for the parade to be held in the ceremony will begin from January 23. In such a situation, to avoid any kind of problem during this time, Delhi Traffic Police has also issued an advisory. According to the advisory, entry on many roads of the capital will be closed from tonight itself.

The full dress rehearsal will start from Vijay Chowk at 10:30 am and will end at the Red Fort via Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg. In such a situation, heavy vehicles are banned in Delhi during this time. At the same time, the route will be diverted for light vehicles. In such a situation, if you are also planning to go somewhere at this time, then definitely read the advisory once.

These routes will remain closed

• There will be no traffic movement on Kartavyapath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on January 22
• Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road will remain closed for traffic on Kartavyapath from 11 pm on January 22 till the parade ends.
• There will be no cross traffic from ‘C’-Hexagon-India Gate from 09:15 am on January 23 till the parade crosses Tilak Marg.
• Apart from this, traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg in both directions from 10:30 am on January 23.
• On the other hand, cross traffic will be allowed only on the basis of parade movement.

You can use these routes to avoid traffic jams

• Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, IP Flyover, Rajghat, Ring Road, Lodhi Road T Point, Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road, Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Shankar Road, Park Street or Mandir Marg.
• Reach New Delhi Railway Station via ISBT Bridge, Boulevard Road, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Jhandewalan, DB Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road, Paharganj Bridge.
• Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Panchkuiyan Road, Outer Circle Connaught Place, Chelmsford Road towards Paharganj or Minto Road towards Ajmeri Gate, Bhavbhuti Marg towards Ajmeri Gate
