New Delhi: Verbal attacks between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party have intensified on the allegations leveled by AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Haryana government for poisoning the Yamuna water. Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini has demanded an apology from Kejriwal and said that he should not apologize for his statement or else a defamation case will be filed against him. On the other hand, Election Commission has sought a report from Saini government on AAP’s allegation. Saini government will present its side before Election Commission by 12 noon today. Kejriwal had accused Haryana government of poisoning Yamuna and called it a conspiracy of mass genocide. However, Delhi Jal Board has rejected Kejriwal’s claim.

Allegation of poisoning Yamuna

Actually, former Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader Kejriwal had alleged that BJP is trying to keep the people of Delhi thirsty by doing dirty politics. He said, “BJP people in Haryana are mixing poison in the water of Yamuna river and sending it to Delhi. If the people of Delhi drink this water, many people will die. Can there be anything more disgusting than this?” Kejriwal was commenting on Delhi CM Atishi’s allegation that the Haryana government is deliberately dumping industrial waste into the Yamuna, from where the national capital gets its water.

Election Commission sought report

On the other hand, on Kejriwal’s allegations, a senior BJP leader said, “Haryana government will definitely take Kejriwal to court. We will also knock the door of the Election Commission against him and his party on Tuesday.” On the other hand, Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini criticized Kejriwal and said that it is his habit to make baseless allegations and blame others. Let us tell you that on Monday, the Election Commission had sought a factual report from Haryana on the allegations made by Atishi about the level of ammonia in the water supply.
