Budget of Rs 50.65 lakh crore
The government has presented a budget of Rs 50.65 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26, which is about Rs 6 lakh crore more than the budget of the current financial year. The Economic Survey 2024-25 has estimated that the country’s economic growth can be up to a maximum of 6.8 percent in the next financial year. Women and youth have also been taken care of in the budget.

During the budget speech, Finance Minister Sitharaman said that our development and reforms in the last 10 years have attracted the world. Today our economy is a fast growing economy. The purpose of this budget is to take forward transformative reforms. The Finance Minister said that our aim is to eliminate poverty, ensure 100 percent quality education and affordable and comprehensive health care.
