What did Pappu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi say?

Pappu Yadav had said – “She is a stamp, she has to read someone’s love letter.” At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi had said that the President was very tired by the end. That is why we have given a memorandum to the Speaker against Pappu Yadav in the Lok Sabha. Now we are going to give a memorandum to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha (against Sonia Gandhi) and on these comments, he will also demand an inquiry against a woman.”

On BJP MPs bringing a notice of breach of parliamentary privilege against Congress Parliamentary Speaker Sonia Gandhi and Purnea independent MP Pappu Yadav for their comments on the President’s address, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “Tribal MPs of this country have taken this matter very seriously. They have submitted their memorandum to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha today. In the Lok Sabha, Pappu Yadav called the President’s address a “love letter”…Our tribal MPs objected very strongly and lodged a complaint with the Speaker. They later submitted a letter to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, stating that Sonia Gandhi used words like “poor woman” and “tired” for the President. The Rajya Sabha Chairman heard it patiently and gave his comments…he took it very seriously.”
