Students Protest in Bangladesh: There is chaos in Bangladesh once again. The country is in trouble due to the train strike. Thousands of students have come and sat in front of the trains and are not allowing the trains to run. Due to this, a large number of people are facing trouble. The uproar of the students is so much and effective that the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus of Bangladesh has deployed 4 army units in the Dhaka Mohakhali area. Despite this, the students are not willing to move away from the railway track.
Students of Titumir College in Dhaka have blocked the railway track. They are demanding university status for the college. The students started their protest on Monday (3 February) at around 4:15 pm. Train services on the Dhaka-Tongi-Dhaka section have been suspended due to the blockade of the students. At present, no train is running on this route. Students’ roar – the movement will intensify
The officer in charge of the railway police station said, “The situation is not good right now. In view of the uproar, all trains have been stopped at various places. The students have announced that their protest will continue until their demands are met. Apart from this, the students have warned that if their demands are not met, their protest may intensify.
Ali Ahmed, who is leading the student protesters, said, “We will continue our siege until Mohammad Yunus or the education advisor fulfill the demand of the college to become a university.” He said, “We apologize to the public for the inconvenience, but the government has forced us to do this.”
