Delhi Election 2025: Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, excited by his party’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, warned Mamata Banerjee on Saturday evening, February 8, saying, ‘Look, next is your turn.’
Speaking to reporters after the BJP’s victory was confirmed, Suvendu Adhikari expressed happiness and said, “Delhi’s victory is ours, it will be Bengal’s turn in 2026.”
Delhi Assembly election victory described as historic
West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari described the BJP’s historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections as important for the country and said that it is the beginning of the end of the politics of corruption and lies. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government betrayed the promises made to the people and indulged in corruption, to which the people of Delhi have given an answer.
Regarding the situation in Delhi, Suvendu Adhikari said that it is the capital of the country and it should have been made an international level city, but the Aam Aadmi Party ruined it. He said that the way development has taken place in the country under the leadership of the Modi government, the same should have happened in Delhi as well. He claimed that the Modi government developed the Yamuna Expressway and other infrastructure, but the Delhi government failed to handle it.
‘More than 90 percent of Bengali voters voted for BJP’
He claimed that more than 90 percent of Bengali voters voted in favor of the BJP to strengthen the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party, he said that this party shows devotion to Lord Bajrangbali only during elections, while in reality it is just a pretense.
He said that the Kejriwal government provided facilities like free electricity and water to Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators in Delhi by making Aadhar cards and voter ID cards, which poses a threat to the security of the country. He alleged that Kejriwal has played a role in all the anti-national activities that have taken place in Delhi, just like Mamata Banerjee’s regime in West Bengal supports such activities.
Time for change has come in Bengal too
Suvendu Adhikari said that now the time for change has come in Bengal too. He claimed that like Delhi, there will be a wave of BJP in Bengal and a nationalist government will be formed. He appealed to the Election Commission and the central government to ensure fair elections in West Bengal, so that the rigging and misuse of police by the Trinamool Congress government can be stopped.
He alleged that the police in Bengal is being used to implicate BJP workers and leaders in false cases. He said that the people of West Bengal are now fully prepared and will give massive support to the BJP to overthrow the Trinamool Congress government in the 2026 elections. He said that Bengal is the land of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Swami Vivekananda, and anti-national forces will not be tolerated here.
