Chhattisgarh Nagar Nikay Election 2025: The noise of campaigning for the municipal bodies and three-tier panchayat elections in Chhattisgarh has now stopped. After the election stir, the candidates have now gone on a public relations campaign. Voting will be held in all the urban bodies of Chhattisgarh tomorrow on February 11. Voting time will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The counting of votes will be done on February 15. The election of councilor, chairman and mayor is to be held tomorrow for 10 municipal corporations, 49 municipal councils and 114 nagar panchayats. Voting will be held to elect presidents and councilors in 173 urban bodies. The administration has completed all the preparations for the election.

Let us tell you that conducting fair and peaceful voting in 14 Naxal-affected districts is proving to be a big challenge for the Election Commission and the security forces. A total of 5970 polling stations have been set up for all the urban bodies of the state, which include 1531 sensitive and 132 hypersensitive polling stations. Additional security forces have been deployed for sensitive and highly sensitive polling booths. Along with this, police parties are also doing flag marches in all 14 Naxal-affected districts.

Voting for city government will be held tomorrow

The Election Commission said that about 75 highly sensitive booths of highly Naxal-affected Sukma district have been shifted. The maximum number of polling booths of Konta block have been shifted. At the same time, 16 polling booths of Sukma block and 02 polling booths of Chhindgarh block have also been shifted, out of which polling parties and polling materials are being delivered to 18 polling booths through helicopters.

Now the focus of the candidates is on public relations

The fate of all the candidates will be decided in EVMs tomorrow. The candidates had put in all their efforts to win the civic elections. Now they are trying to woo the voters through public relations. On February 11, the fate of the mayor and councilor candidates of 10 municipal corporations will be decided. The Election Commission is fully prepared for the urban civic elections.
