305 infiltrators sent back in the last seven months

The Himanta Biswa Sarma government has taken a tough stand on Bangladeshi infiltrators. In the last 7 months, a total of 305 infiltrators from Bangladesh have been sent back. To prevent infiltration, the Border Security Force has increased its deployment along the 1,885 km stretch of the Indo-Bangladesh border in North East India. In view of the unstable situation in Bangladesh last year, this surveillance has been tightened even more. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the Assam Police is also on high alert to prevent any kind of illegal infiltration.
