India’s 75th Republic Day celebrations were held on 26 January on the Path of Duty. The country’s President Draupadi Murmu welcomed the chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations, French President Emmanuel Macron and hoisted the tricolor. On the occasion of Republic Day, soldiers of various military wings of India participate in the parade which remains the center of attraction for the people every year. Sikh Regiment Parade
A contingent of the Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army led by Major Sarabjit Singh marches on the duty path during the 75th Republic Day parade here on Friday. The Sikh Regiment ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ was established by the soldiers of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1846. The next contingent was a combined band of 72 musicians from the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment Centre, Jat Regimental Center and the Army Ordnance Corps Center (AOC). This band was led by AOC Center Subedar Ajay Kumar N.
Jammu Kashmir Light Infantry and Agniveer
Jammu Kashmir Light Infantry soldiers also participated in the parade. The combined bands of Army Air Defense (AAD) College and Centre, Dogra Regiment Center and Indian Army Service Corps (ASC) Center (North) marched on the duty path to the tune of ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha, Hindustan Hamara’. After this a contingent of Kumaon Regiment came. Let us tell you that this is the first regiment which carried out the operation in Jammu and Kashmir after independence.
Madras Regiment and Bihar Regiment
On the occasion of 75th Republic Day celebrations, the soldiers of Madras Regiment, while on duty, also gave a spectacular performance in the parade. After this the Bihar Regiment performed with the band. Naval and Air Force contingents also participated in the parade.
French soldiers also participated
About 95 French soldiers participated in the march on the line of duty in a function organized on the line of duty on the occasion of India’s 75th Republic Day. Along with this, a 30-member band from France also performed in the grand parade. Let us tell you that this is the second time that French armed forces have participated on the occasion of Republic Day of India. Earlier, he had joined as the first foreign military contingent in 2016. Apart from this, contingents of Navy and Air Force, NCC, Delhi Police and many other soldiers also participated in the parade ceremony.
