Bihar: To improve the quality of education in the Nitish Kumar government, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. S. Siddharth has written a letter to all the district education officers of the state to ensure quality education and academic environment in all the government schools of the state.

Nitish Kumar government of Bihar is running a new campaign to improve the quality of education in the state. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. S. Siddharth has written a letter to all the district education officers of the state. It has been written in this letter that in order to provide quality education in all the government schools of the state, proper educational environment should be ensured for the students.

The Education Department has also issued guidelines for school inspection in this regard. In this sequence, guidelines have been given to upload a new form on Shikshakosh for inspection of government schools.

Education department officials got responsibility

In this sequence, all the officers and employees posted in all the offices of the Education Department have been given the responsibility of school monitoring. While reviewing the inspection report received from the contract officers / employees working in the District Education Office or employees working from external sources, it was found that many of the data mentioned by them in the inspection report are wrong.

According to the letter, when these were investigated, there was a lot of difference between the inspection report and the status of the spot. Lack of care and sensitivity has been found in the discharge of duties. Therefore, the department has decided to inspect again so that quality education is not compromised.

Changes in the new inspection system

It has been decided to change the new inspection system to increase the quality and utility of inspection. According to the new decision, schools will not be inspected through any personnel employed on short-term contract or employed through outsourcing. Now only the following regular officers of the Education Department and BEP will inspect the schools:

i. District Education Officer ii. District Program Officer iii. Program Officer iv. Block Education Officer

Additional District Program Coordinator (BEP) Assistant Program Officer (BEP)

Which schools will be inspected?

The schools to be inspected will be selected by the Additional Chief Secretary on the day fixed for each inspection. Information about these schools will be sent on mobile at 9 pm one day before through the Additional Chief Secretary’s office. Information about the inspection of schools will be kept completely confidential.

All officers have to conduct surprise inspection of at least 25 schools every month. Therefore, all the officers will take the inspection work seriously and in any situation, if the inspection report is found to be fake or misleading, necessary disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officers.
