US President Donald Trump once again raised the issue of electoral assistance while addressing CPAC and said that India and Bangladesh do not need electoral assistance, did USAID spend 21 million US dollars to help someone else win the election in India?

US President Donald Trump has once again raised the issue of electoral aid. Addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, he said that India and Bangladesh do not need electoral aid. Trump had earlier made a statement on this subject while addressing a program in Miami on Thursday. He had questioned whether USAID had spent 21 million US dollars to help someone else win the election in India.

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) had provided financial aid of 21 million US dollars to increase the voting percentage in India. Expressing doubts over this, Trump had alleged that this money was given to change the power.

Bangladesh chose the radical leftist

Apart from India, USAID had also sent financial aid to Bangladesh. Political instability also persists in Bangladesh. Minorities are being exploited here. In such a situation, Trump said, “29 million dollars go to strengthen the political scene and help them so that they can vote for the radical leftist communist in Bangladesh. You have to see who they supported.”

India doesn’t need money?

Donald Trump said in Washington about India, “18 million dollars to help in elections in India? Why don’t we go back to the old paper ballot and let them help us in our elections? They don’t need money.” After assuming the office of US President in January, Donald Trump has taken many important decisions. These include imposing tariffs on goods imported from many countries. The highest tariffs have been imposed on Canada, Mexico and China. To avoid tariff war, India has also reduced tariffs on liquor and other things coming from America.
