There has been a lot of destruction in Himachal Pradesh due to cloudburst. 583 roads have been blocked due to continuous rains for two days. Out of these, 85 places are on the national highway. Apart from this, 2263 electricity transformers have stopped working. This has affected the power supply. 279 water supply schemes have also been affected. On Friday, clouds burst in Pahanala of Kullu and Multhan of Chhota Bhangal of Kangra, while similar apprehensions are being expressed on the mountain of Varot of Mandi.
Eight vehicles got buried in the flood debris in Pahanala of Kullu. Parking for vehicles was made in Sarvari drain in Kullu. After the cloudburst, water came at a high speed with debris and swept away the vehicles with it. Due to landslides, the Manali four-lane highway has been closed at many places. The debris fallen from the mountain is accumulated on the highway, which is being removed.
12 houses in the grip of landslide
Three vehicles got buried under the debris due to flood in Gandhinagar drain of Kullu. Two vehicles got damaged due to falling of tree in Manali and tree has also fallen on Hadimba temple. Nine vehicles got damaged in Multhan of Kangra. 12 houses are in danger after cloudburst in Multhan of Chota Bhangal, people here have been sent to safe places. At present, the weather is calm on Saturday and people are expected to get relief in the coming days.
Snowfall in Chamba
It has been snowing continuously for the last three days in the very remote Pagi valley of Chamba and life has been disrupted. Cold has increased and Pagi valley is completely cut off from the rest of the cities. Electricity supply has also been disrupted for the last two days.
