On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at a program organized for Swami Vivekananda Seva Award in Kolkata, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma fiercely targeted Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

‘Hinduism can never end’

Addressing the program, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ‘I would like to tell Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi that if they think that they can end Hinduism, then I would like to tell them that Hinduism will not end. Hinduism can never end.’

‘More threat from left liberals than Muslims’
The Chief Minister of Assam said, ‘Aurangzeb had vowed to destroy Hinduism but Hinduism did not end, Aurangzeb himself ended. He further said, ‘Hindus are not in danger from Muslims and Christians but from left liberals. Both of them are minorities in India. Hindus are in danger from our own society.’

Swami Pradiptananda receives ‘Swami Vivekananda Seva Award’

Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ‘Today we have honoured Swami Pradiptananda with Swami Vivekananda Seva Award. Whenever there has been a threat to our religion in India, people have raised their voice to protect it.’ He further said, ‘Swami ji has always accepted the challenges to protect the religion and has pledged to do everything for Sanatan Dharma. Such a personality is a guide and inspiration for us.’

Himanta Biswa Sarma had also given advice to Mamata Banerjee during the bath in Prayagraj Mahakumbh recently, saying, ‘Congress Party and India alliance are against Sanatan. Sanatan is the past, Sanatan is the present and Sanatan is the future of the world.’ Earlier, many leaders of the country including saints and sages had criticized Mamata Banerjee for her statement calling Mahakumbh as ‘Mrityunjay Kumbh’.
