Earthquake in Chile: Earthquake tremors were felt in the northern region of Chile, a country of South America, on Thursday (March 6). The magnitude of this earthquake was 6.1. There is no information yet about any casualties. At the same time, no tsunami warning was issued in the earthquake-prone South American country.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was 104 kilometers southwest of San Pedro de Atacama, a small town located on the edge of the northern desert near Chile’s Bolivian border.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said that the depth of the earthquake that occurred at 12:21 pm local time was 93 kilometers. Chile’s National Disaster Agency considered the earthquake to be of ‘moderate intensity’ and said that it would continue to evaluate any possible damage. He further said that there is no danger of a tsunami after this earthquake.
