A shocking incident took place in Banai area of Sundargarh district of Odisha, where a 4-year-old child’s head got stuck in a steel vessel while playing. The family members tried hard to remove him, but could not succeed. Finally, the child was taken to the hospital, where the doctors saved his life by cutting the steel vessel after a lot of effort.
Babuli Munda and his wife Savina Munda, who live in Jangla village of Banai police station area, had their 4-year-old son Shubham playing at home. While playing, his head got stuck in a steel vessel. The family made several attempts to save the child, but the circle was so tight that they failed to remove him.
When all the efforts of the family failed, the panicked parents rushed Shubham to Banai subdivision hospital. There, the doctors tried to save him, but the cord could not be removed easily. Seeing the situation getting serious, the family was about to refer Shubham to Rourkela, when the doctors on duty made another attempt.
Doctor Prabhat Ranjan Singh, staff Akash Rai and Virendra Nayak decided to find an immediate solution. They started cutting the steel cord slowly with the help of scissors and cutter. After a lot of hard work, the cord was finally cut, and Shubham was taken out safely. If the doctors had not acted immediately, the child’s condition could have worsened. The efforts of the doctors saved the child’s life, and now he is completely healthy.
