Bus Accident In Nagaur: Three students died tragically in a horrific road accident in Nagaur, Rajasthan. A sleeper bus carrying students of National Law University, Jodhpur overturned in Nagaur this morning. The bus was bringing the students back from Chandigarh after participating in a sports festival. Three students lost their lives and many others were injured in this accident.
SHO Siya Ram of Surpalia Police Station, Nagaur said that this accident of collision with a truck took place near Deh village at around 5.30 am. Siya Ram said, “After the accident, the bus overturned, killing three students.”
20 students were on the bus
He said, “Four seriously injured students were referred to Jodhpur, while others were given first aid and sent to Jodhpur in a government bus. There were about 20 students on the bus which met with the accident.” All these students were reportedly returning from the four-day annual sports festival of Rajiv Gandhi National Law University (RGNUL), Punjab, which was held from March 7-10.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari expressed condolences
The SHO said that officials of NLU, Jodhpur also reached the accident site. After the accident, Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari said on social media platform X, “The news of the death of citizens and injuries to many people in another horrific road accident in Nagaur, in which the bus of Jodhpur Law University students overturned, is heart-wrenching.”
She further said, “May God give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family in this hour of immense grief. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident. Om Shanti!”
