The body of a foreign woman has been found in a hotel room in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Police said on Tuesday that the incident took place in a hotel located in Vibhutikhand area. Inspector-in-charge (SHO) of Vibhutikhand police station Sunil Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated.
SHO Sunil Kumar Singh said that the woman’s name is Egmberdiva Zebo. She is a resident of Uzbekistan. She came with a young man named Satnam from Delhi on March 2 and stayed here in a hotel in Vijayantkhand. The police officer said that Satnam later went back and after that she was alone in the hotel.
A woman was lying unconscious in room 109
According to a police statement, a call was received on emergency helpline 112, informing that a woman was lying unconscious in room 109 of Hotel Atithi Inn in Vijayantkhand. The statement said, ‘On receiving the information, a police team reached the hotel and the unconscious woman was immediately taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.’
The woman was staying in the hotel since March 2
Initial investigation revealed that Jebo stayed in the hotel with a man named Satnam Singh from Delhi on March 2. Satnam reportedly left the hotel on March 5. After this, the woman was staying alone in the room. When the foreign woman did not respond on Tuesday, the hotel staff entered her room and found her unconscious on the bed.
At the same time, after the incident, SHO of Vibhutikhand police station Sunil Kumar Singh has started the investigation. CCTV footage and hotel staff are being questioned. The SHO said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. Also, further legal action is being taken in this case. All aspects of this matter are being investigated seriously.
