Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed got injured in the firing in Jhelum, Pakistan. He has been admitted to the army hospital in Rawalpindi. Saeed was returning after meeting Pakistani army’s core commander Mangala. His brother Abu Qatal was killed there. Actually, there was news in some places in the media that Hafiz Saeed was also killed along with Abu Qatal but this is not true. Hafiz Saeed is still alive. Hafiz, who was injured in the firing, is undergoing treatment.
Hafiz is the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attack
Hafiz Saeed is considered the mastermind of the terrorist attack in Mumbai on 26 November 2008. More than 160 people died in this attack. Hafiz Saeed was also involved in the Mumbai train blasts in 2006. In 2001, Saeed even targeted the Indian Parliament. He is included in the NIA’s most wanted list. After the Mumbai attack, India had asked Pakistan to hand him over, but Pakistan has continuously refused to accept him as a terrorist.
Hafiz’s nephew Abu Qatal killed
Nadeem alias Abu Qatal, nephew of India’s most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed, was killed on Saturday night in Jhelum, Pakistan. He was shot dead by unknown attackers. Qatal was the mastermind of the Reasi terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. 9 people were killed in this attack while 41 were injured. Abu Qatal was also involved in the Rajouri attack. The attack took place here on January 1, 2023.
Abu Qatal was on the NIA’s most wanted list
Abu Qatal was the top commander of Jamaat-ud-Dawa. One of Abu Qatal’s associates also died in the attack. Abu Qatal was known for planning several attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and was an important operative of the terrorist organization. Katal was a close associate of 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed. He was on the most wanted list of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).
