The controversy over Aurangzeb in Maharashtra does not seem to end. Now Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has announced to demolish Aurangzeb’s tomb. VHP’s national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that Aurangzeb’s tomb will be demolished on Monday, the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Vinod Bansal said that Monday, i.e. 17 March, is the holy birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who staked his three generations for the protection of Hindu Swarajya and gave a tough time to the Mughals.
VHP and Bajrang Dal protested
Vinod Bansal said that now the time has come to re-establish the country’s self and defeat the symbols of slavery and the slave mentality. After Aurangzeb, now the time has come to demolish his tomb as well. VHP and Bajrang Dal workers will protest to remove Aurangzeb’s statue in entire Maharashtra on that day and will submit a memorandum to the government through the local District Magistrate.
Aurangzeb’s grave is in Sambhaji Nagar
He said that in the memorandum we will demand that Aurangzeb’s grave and Aurangzebi mentality should be completely destroyed from the holy land of Shivaji Maharaj. Aurangzeb’s grave is in Sambhaji Nagar of Maharashtra and he killed Maharaj Sambhaji after torturing him a lot, that is why there should not be a grave of such a person.
The tomb is under the protection of ASI
Aurangzeb’s tomb is located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar of Maharashtra and from time to time the issue of this tomb is raised from the road to the House. Now due to the film Chhava and a statement by SP MLA Abu Azmi, this tomb has again come into discussion. Let us tell you that Aurangzeb died while fighting with the Maratha Empire. At that time he was camping in Maharashtra. After his death, he was buried in Khultabad of Sambhajinagar. His tomb is currently under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India.
