A loud explosion took place in the Khandwala area of Amritsar yesterday, which damaged the surrounding walls and shattered the window panes. Although there is no news of any casualties in this blast that took place in the early hours of Saturday, panic has spread among the local people. Police suspect that this blast may be connected to Pakistan’s ISI terrorist group. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the police was informed about the incident at around 2 o’clock late on Friday night. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached there.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the three accused arrested from Bihar were supplying grenades, information about their hideouts has also been received. The three youths were arrested from Bihar when they were trying to escape to Nepal. Bhullar said that an FIR was registered on March 7, in which two accused were caught and heroin was recovered from them. During the investigation, the names of three youths came to light – Karna, Mukesh and Sajan.
