Delhi: The budget session 2024-25 of Delhi government under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal will start from 15th February and will continue till 20th February. Delhi’s budget will be presented by Finance Minister Atishi for the first time in the budget session. This will be the 10th consecutive budget of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Arvind Kejriwal government has also been continuously presenting outcome budget during its tenure. Therefore, this time also the outcome budget will be presented by the Finance Minister.
The budget of Delhi government will focus on education, health, electricity, water, employment and infrastructure. The government has taken suggestions from all the stakeholders of Delhi while preparing the budget. His good suggestions have been included in the budget. In the meeting held under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Cabinet has given its approval for convening the budget session. The budget file has been sent to LG.
Atishi will also present the outcome budget
This time the Delhi government is presenting the budget for the financial year 2024-25 in February instead of March. Like the last financial year, this time’s budget is also expected to be huge. This time the budget will be presented by Finance Minister Atishi, which will be the first budget presented by him. During this time, Delhi government will also present its outcome budget.
Cabinet approves convening of budget session
Delhi is the only state in the entire country, where the outcome budget is presented every year by the Kejriwal government. Through the Outcome Budget, the public expenditure of the previous budget is given account to the people of Delhi with complete transparency. In a way, the outcome budget is a report card of the performance of various departments based on the funds allocated in the previous financial year. Approval to call the budget session has been received from the Delhi Cabinet. Its file has now been sent to LG.
