Due to the poor system of the health department in Bihar and the negligence of the health workers, the patients are facing problems. The relatives of the patients sometimes reach the hospital with the patient on their shoulders, sometimes on a cot and sometimes on a cart. A similar scene was seen on Sunday (March 16). A 90-year-old woman did not even get an ambulance from Madhubani’s Sadar Hospital. In such a situation, her family took her home from the hospital with an oxygen cylinder in an e-rickshaw.
The 90-year-old elderly woman is suffering from breathing and stomach problems. Her family took her to the hospital’s emergency ward at 10:45 in the morning to see a doctor. After examining her thoroughly, the doctor said that there is not enough ventilation in the hospital, so she will have to be taken to another place.
The elderly woman’s son Sanjay Kumar, who brought the patient in an e-rickshaw, is an advocate by profession. He talked to the hospital for an ambulance, but no one answered him. Sanjay Kumar accused the doctor on duty of behaving rudely. An ambulance was available in Sadar Hospital, but Sanjay Kumar called 102 to take his mother home in an ambulance with oxygen, but despite the ambulance ringing, no one answered. Finally, tired and exhausted, Sanjay took his mother home on an e-rickshaw.
She reached home with difficulty in the e-rickshaw
The elderly woman was on oxygen. In such a situation, the e-rickshaw was shaking on the road and there was a fear of the cylinder falling or the oxygen mask coming off at every pothole. It can be seen in the video that when the e-rickshaw gets off the road, the driver has to get it down very carefully and slowly. At the same time, when it comes to getting the elderly woman down from the e-rickshaw, there is a lot of trouble. E-rickshaws are not made to transport patients. In such a situation, the patient’s family members sit holding them and lift them in their lap and take them down.
