Violence was witnessed in Nagpur on Monday night amid the controversy over Aurangzeb’s tomb in Maharashtra. After tension between two groups, there was vandalism and arson in the city. Stones were also pelted and many vehicles were vandalized and set on fire. Many policemen including the DCP were injured in the incident. The situation in the city remains tense. Amidst all this, Shiv Sena UBT leader Uddhav Thackeray came in front of the media and targeted the government by raising questions on the incident. Along with this, he has demanded resignation from CM Devendra Fadnavis over the Nagpur violence.
Uddhav Thackeray said that it is their (NDA) government, the Home Minister is from there, so what are they doing, whose responsibility is this? The former CM said that BJP is trying to teach Hindutva. It is questioning our Hindutva. If you have the courage, then remove the green color from your flag and show it. Aurangzeb was born in Gujarat and came to the land of Maharashtra and tried to win Maharashtra. Our revered god Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did not let him win. His tomb was built in Maharashtra.
‘People of Gujarat are trying to break Maharashtra’
Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray said that people of Gujarat are trying to break Maharashtra. They do Hindu Muslim with common people here and themselves play cricket with Bangladesh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son watches it. He is organising India-Pakistan match and his son goes from here to watch the match in Dubai.
He said that the government is unable to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb. They are saying that there is protection from the Centre. I want to say that why don’t you go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and tell him to remove the tomb of Aurangzeb who was born in Gujarat. Nagpur is the stronghold of RSS. How can a Hindu be in danger in such a place. If this was pre-planned, was your Home Ministry sleeping? This government is hiding its failure. I want to ask BJP that we have seen your Hindutva, if you have so much problem with the green flag, then remove the green colour from your flag and show it.
Uddhav said- call Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu too
Uddhav Thackeray said that this is a collusion of these people. The Chief Minister says in frustration that we have to protect the grave. Why don’t you go to the Prime Minister? An MLA compares Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with the Prime Minister. Anyone starts comparing with anyone. You must remove Aurangzeb’s grave, but pay attention to the concerns of the farmers. Z plus security but still violence
The former CM said that there is an office of the Sangh in Nagpur. There is Z plus security there and you are saying that the people who committed violence are from outside. It is evident how useless this government is. The Chief Minister should tell who is behind the incident in Nagpur? This shows the failure of this government and the CM should resign.
