Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got officially divorced today, in view of the divorce, Dhanashree Verma will get Rs 4 crore 75 lakh as alimony.

The final decision on the divorce of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma has come. Officially, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are no longer husband and wife. On this issue, Yuzvendra Chahal’s lawyer Nitin Gupta said, the court has accepted the petition we had filed in the court. Formally, now Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are no longer husband and wife. In fact, the Bombay High Court, while giving an important decision, has overturned the decision of the Bandra Magistrate Court, which refused to waive the mandatory cooling-off period of 6 months for the divorce of Chahal and Dhanashree. The High Court has ordered the Family Court to give a final decision on the divorce petition today. Such a demand has been made so that Chahal’s participation in IPL is not affected. Dhanashree will get Rs 4 crore 75 lakh as alimony.

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree are living separately since 2022

Let us tell you that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married in December 2020 and have been living separately since June 2022. They filed a joint divorce petition in the family court, also seeking waiver of the 6-month cooling off period. The High Court took into account that the couple had been living separately for more than two years and had complied with the conditions laid down in the agreed terms on payment of alimony filed during the mediation process. The marriage counselor of the Family Court submitted a report stating that there has been partial compliance with the mediation agreement.

Dhanashree will get Rs 4.75 crore as alimony

Actually, Chahal had agreed to pay permanent alimony of Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree Verma as per the agreed terms. Out of this, Rs 2.37 crore has been paid so far. Though the family court cited non-payment of the balance amount and refused to waive the cooling off period, the High Court however said that the couple had complied with the agreed terms and it was evident that both the parties had genuinely settled their differences including all pending issues between them.
