During Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar’s visit to Tamil Nadu, BJP protested against Shivkumar by showing black flags, Shivkumar hit back in a sarcastic manner by calling BJP leader Annamalai a poor man

The issue of delimitation is heating up in many other states including Karnataka. CM Stalin has already opened a front regarding delimitation. Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar had reached Chennai on the invitation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to attend a meeting to discuss the results of delimitation. Here the BJP protested by showing black flags at the airport. The southern states have expressed the apprehension that if delimitation is done on the basis of population, they will lose their hold.

During this, the Deputy CM attacked BJP leader Annamalai and said that he has been called a poor man. He said that the poor man is from my state. He has served us. He knows our strength, let him do his work. I wish him all the best.

BJP responded like this

In response to the statement of the Deputy CM, Annamalai said that thank you to Shri Shivakumar for wishing “this poor man”. He said that yes, I have served the people of Karnataka diligently as a police officer. The BJP Tamil Nadu chief has also said this in a social media post on ‘X’.

He wrote that thank you for wishing this poor man and my best wishes for your tireless efforts to remove Thiru Siddaramaiah from his chair and become the CM of Karnataka.

What did the Deputy CM say on showing black flags?

While talking to reporters, Shivakumar has expressed concern about some southern state governments doing delimitation on the basis of population. Along with this, targeting the BJP, he said that I welcome all these black flags of BJP. I never felt scared when they sent me to Tihar Jail.
