Kerala: In Kasargod district, a drunk shopkeeper poured thinal on a woman and burnt her, the woman died in the hospital

In Kerala, a drunken shopkeeper set a woman on fire, leading to her death. Actually, the woman had complained to the landlord about a person living in the neighborhood, who used to quarrel with her every day after drinking alcohol. After this, the person started getting jealous of the woman. Not only this, in the spirit of revenge, he poured paint thinner on the woman and set her on fire.

This incident is from Mannadukkam in Kasargod district of Kerala. This horrific incident happened on 8 April. According to the information given by the police, a local resident woman named Ramita used to run a grocery shop. A person named Ramamritham from Tamil Nadu runs a furniture shop next to Ramitha’s shop. A few days ago, the victim Ramitham complained to the landlord of the house where the accused Ramamritham was living.

The woman alleged that he harassed her under the influence of alcohol. Based on her complaint, the landlord warned Ramamritham to vacate the house. This created hatred in Ramamritham’s mind towards Ramitha. He wanted to take revenge on her at any cost. Police officials said that on April 8, Ramamritham poured thinner mixed in paint on Ramitha, who was sitting at her grocery shop, and set her on fire.

Police registered a case under various sections

Seriously injured Ramitha was taken to a hospital in Mangalore. Ramitha died on Tuesday due to 50 percent burns. When the accused Ramamritham tried to escape, the local people caught him and handed him over to the police. The police have registered a case under various sections.
