Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde made a big statement on Wednesday. He said that when the ‘vikas ka viman’ of the previous Mahayuti government took off, he was the ‘pilot’ and Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were the ‘co-pilots’. Eknath Shinde made this statement while addressing a program organized for the inauguration of an airport and commercial passenger flight service in Amravati city. Current Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were also present on this occasion.

Shinde said from the stage, “When development and welfare schemes started, I was the pilot of the plane and Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were the co-pilots. Now, Fadnavis is the pilot and we both are co-pilots. The pilot has changed, but the ‘vikas ka viman’ is the same and we are moving at the same speed.” Praising Devendra Fadnavis

At the inauguration ceremony, Shinde praised former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, saying that the construction work of Amravati airport started during 2014-2019, when Fadnavis was the Chief Minister of the state. However, he alleged that the work on the project had stopped after the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Uddhav Thackeray came to power in 2019.

Shinde said, “The work of many projects and welfare schemes was stopped during the rule of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, but when the Janata government came in 2022 (Mahayuti government led by him), the development work started again at a fast pace and under this the construction of Amravati airport was completed soon.”
