New Delhi: A building collapsed in Delhi’s Mustafabad area, in which many people are feared trapped under the debris. According to Delhi Police, out of the 10 people who were rescued, 4 died. According to officials, NDRF and Delhi Police teams have reached the spot and rescue operations are currently underway.
Fire department officer Rajendra Atwal said that we received information about a house collapse at around 2:50 am. We reached the spot and found that the entire building had collapsed and we received information about people being trapped under the debris. NDRF and fire department are working to rescue people.
CCTV footage of building collapse surfaced
CCTV footage of the building collapse in Mustafabad area has also surfaced. It is seen in it that the building collapsed like a pack of cards at midnight. The building collapsed and there was smoke all around. When the building collapsed, it was 2:39 am.
Four people died in the accident
It is being told that there were more than 20 people inside the building at the time of its collapse, out of which 10 people have been evacuated. Four of these people have been declared dead. The rest are undergoing treatment. Rescue operations are underway to rescue other people trapped in the debris. The building that collapsed was four-storey L-shaped.
Accident likely due to bad weather
According to the information, there was a sudden change in the weather of Delhi on Friday. Rain and thunderstorms were seen in many areas of the city at night. In a related incident, last week, one person was killed and two others were injured when the wall of an under-construction building collapsed during a dust storm near Madhu Vihar police station.
