Samajwadi Party (SP) president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday accused the state’s Yogi government of discrimination in the transfer and posting of officers. The SP chief said that in Agra, there are a total of 48 SHOs (Sthanedars) posted in police stations, of which 15 are PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority), the rest are Singh Bhai Log (people of Rajput community).

At the same time, in Mainpuri, out of a total of 15 SHOs, there are three PDAs and 10 Singh Bhai Logs. Similarly, in Chitrakoot, out of a total of 10 SHOs, there are two PDAs and five Singh Bhai Logs. In Mahoba, out of 11 SHOs, there are three PDAs and six Singh Bhai Logs.

Policy of divide and rule

Accusing the BJP government of following the policy of divide and rule, former CM Akhilesh Yadav said that this party has been working to divide people sometimes in the name of religion and sometimes in the name of caste. Regarding the violence in West Bengal, he claimed that if anyone is behind the riots, it is the BJP people.

BJP made them throw meat

Citing an example of an incident in Kannauj, he said that the BJP people caught a poor person and asked him to throw animal meat in a temple by luring him with money. The person got scared and said that he cannot do this. Then the BJP leaders went with him and made him throw the meat, after which a big riot took place there.

17 BJP leaders went to jail

Akhilesh Yadav said that when we got the matter investigated, 17 BJP leaders went to jail under NSA. Wherever such an incident happens, BJP people are found involved. Regarding the statements of state minister Nand Gopal Nandi, he said that his language is so bad towards me that no matter how many dips he takes in the Ganga, his sins will not be washed away. He must have taken the most dips. He said that the then mayor Abhilasha Gupta wanted to join our party. I was the one who had told him not to come to the party.
