A case has been registered against two people for impersonating as pony service (horse or mule service) provider using fake documents on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Marg in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said that during routine patrolling near Shri Geeta Mata Mandir, the police team stopped a person who told the name Puran Singh but during strict interrogation it was revealed that his name is Manir Hussain.
Police said that he was using someone else’s authorized service card to work illegally. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the law at Katra police station.
Was giving pony service without any valid license
Officials said that in a similar case, near Ban Ganga bridge, police caught Sahil Khan, a resident of Kotli in Jammu district, for working as a pony service provider without any valid license. Police said that he admitted that he did not have any valid permission. He said that a case has been registered against Sahil.
Pony service providers appealed to keep valid documents
Officials said that monitoring and verification campaign will continue to prevent unauthorized activities on the temple route. Police have appealed to all service providers to keep valid documents and requested people to report any suspicious.
