Chhattisgarh: A domineering police station in-charge Kaleem Khan was removed from the post of TI and made SI on charges of corruption and extortion

Chhattisgarh’s domineering TI Kaleem Khan has been demoted. He has now been made SI from TI. At the same time, it is believed that this is the first case in the state in which someone has been demoted. Actually, an investigation was going on against him in a case for four years, after which the department has taken action against him. Investigations were going on against him in many cases like fraud, extortion.

A case of fraud was registered against Kaleen Khan four years ago. Investigation was going on on charges like demanding money from the accused’s wife and keeping her in custody in an illegal manner and traveling in an unapproved flight. Bilaspur IG Dr. Sanjeev Shukla has taken this action against Kaleem Khan. At the same time, during the investigation that lasted for four years, the woman who complained did not even record her statement.

The case is being told of the year 2020. When a case of fraud of Rs 82 lakh came to light in the name of admission in Bilaspur Medical College. During this time TI Kaleem Khan was posted in the cyber cell. He had arrested the accused from Delhi. During the arrest of the accused, his wife had alleged that Kaleem Khan had taken money by luring her to lighten the case and get her husband bail, but later her accused husband was arrested.

The accused’s wife had complained about the entire matter to the then DGP in 2021. After the complaint, the responsibility of investigating the case was handed over to Additional SP Rural Archana Jha. In the investigation report, it was claimed that the accused was wrongly kept in custody and extortion was also done. At the same time, department action has been taken against TI Kaleem Khan. He has been made SI from TI.
