Man booked for flying drone in Mumbai
Mumbai Police DCP (Operations) Akbar Pathan confirmed the incident and reiterated the importance of people’s cooperation. The temporary ban has been imposed to ensure public safety amid national security concerns following heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 26 civilians, including a Nepali national, were killed in the attack.
Operation Sindoor
In response, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the morning of May 7 (Wednesday), targeting 9 terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In retaliation, Pakistan launched a massive attack using unmanned aerial systems, drones and combat vehicles. However, India’s air defence systems effectively neutralised all Pakistani aerial systems, drones and combat vehicles, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti said during a press briefing on Sunday.
