Sukhbir Singh Badal on PM Modi: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decision of India-Pakistan ceasefire. Sukhbir Badal also praised the Prime Minister’s leadership in dealing with the enemies on the border. Also, congratulated the Indian Army for giving a befitting reply to the terrorists and Pakistan which nurtured them.
The Shiromani Akali Dal chief praised PM Modi for handling the situation diplomatically and said, “Because of PM Modi’s leadership, the Pakistani Army had to rush to America to plead for a ceasefire. After a decisive victory on the battlefield, the Prime Minister acted like a statesman by accepting their request to end the hostility.”
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that peace after victory is the most honorable path. Let us tell you, Shiromani Akali Dal was earlier a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Badal lashes out at those criticising ceasefire
According to news agency PTI, Badal also slammed leaders who criticised the agreement to stop hostilities and those who instigate war. He said, “These are the leaders who have never seen the damage caused by war. They only see it on television screens in their drawing rooms. These people are the real enemies of the country.”
‘Punjab would have borne the brunt of the war’
Sukhbir Badal further said, “If the war had continued for a long time, Punjab would have borne the brunt of it. A large part of India’s population lives in the border areas. In case of a full-fledged war, we would have seen destruction of both life and property. Thankfully, war was averted by quickly de-escalating the tension after Operation Sindoor.” ‘Sikh community did not fall for Pakistan’s false claims’
SAD chief Badal said, “Pakistan had tried its best to sow the seeds of hatred in the hearts and minds of Sikhs by claiming that India was targeting Nankana Sahib, but the Sikh community completely rejected its lies. It may be noted that India and Pakistan had reached an agreement on May 10 to stop military action after four days of drone and missile attacks from across the border.
