Ahmedabad Bulldozer Action News: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) bulldozer roared once again against illegal encroachment in Chandola area of ​​​​Gujarat on Tuesday. Under the anti-encroachment campaign of AMC, there is a plan to remove illegal encroachment from more than 2.5 lakh square meters area in the second phase of action. More than 3000 policemen have been deployed on the spot to ensure peaceful and unhindered anti-encroachment action. Apart from this, 25 SRP teams have also been deployed on the spot.

A high-level meeting was held on Monday to review the second phase preparations to remove illegal encroachment from Chandola area. Top officials of AMC and Police Commissioner GS Malik were present in the meeting. Let us tell you that after removing encroachment from 1.5 lakh square meters of land during the first phase, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had decided to free 2.5 lakh square meters of area from the possession of encroachers in the second phase of action.

In the first phase, encroachments were removed from 1.5 lakh square meters area – Sharad Singhal

Joint Commissioner of Police Crime Sharad Singhal said, “In the first phase, about 1.5 lakh square meters area was cleared of illegal encroachment by the corporation. During the first phase of action against encroachment, proper arrangements were made to maintain law and order. The second phase will start from today. Adequate police force has been deployed in the area. Senior officers are present on the spot and the public is also cooperating with us.”

Let us tell you that the demolition campaign of AMC around Chandola Lake is one of the largest anti-encroachment campaigns in the history of Gujarat. There is a plan to free more than 4 lakh square meters of land from illegal occupants. The land on which Bangladeshis have built illegal houses is around 100 acres.
