Samastipur: STF arrested four people including a suspended constable from Samastipur in Bihar for conspiring to murder two persons.

Samastipur: The STF took a major action on Friday, June 06 in Samastipur, Bihar. Four people, including a suspended constable, were arrested from Samastipur on charges of plotting the murder of two persons. An officer gave this information. The officer said that the STF has recovered an AK-47 rifle, an INSAS rifle, a gun, four magazines and 130 cartridges from the arrested people.

He said that apart from this, documents of several immovable properties were also recovered from the premises of the suspended constable. The arrested people have been identified as Saroj Singh (suspended police constable), Nishant Kumar Rai, Parshuram Singh and Munna Yadav.

Additional Director General of Police (STF) Kundan Krishnan told PTI-Bhasha on Friday, “The STF, along with the district police, raided the premises of the suspended constable in Sultanpur area on Friday morning. Secret information was received that these four accused were conspiring to kill two people named Prince Mukhiya and Naveen Singh. They had purchased weapons and ammunition to fulfill this purpose.”

The ADG said that when the security personnel reached Saroj Singh’s premises, he started running with his companions and also fired at the police. He said, “But the security personnel immediately overpowered them. A large amount of weapons and ammunition, including an AK-47 rifle and an INSAS rifle, were seized from them (the accused). No security personnel was injured in the firing by the accused. The security personnel did not fire in self-defense.”

The officer said that all the accused were arrested and the investigation into the case is ongoing. He said that investigation revealed that several criminal cases were already registered against Saroj Singh.
