Delhi Crime News: Delhi’s Karkardooma Court has termed the case of brutal and lethal attack on a 7-year-old innocent eight days ago as an extraordinary and inhuman incident. While sentencing the accused to life imprisonment in this case, the court said that ‘this incident is a symbol of a horrific mentality’. It is going to create terror in the society.
Delhi’s Karkardooma Court convicted the criminal Mohammad Moi alias Mohit under IPC section 307 i.e. attempt to murder and 364 i.e. kidnapping with intent to murder. Additional Sessions Judge of Karkardooma Court Amit Sehrawat, while giving the verdict, said, “Attacking an innocent child with stones and piercing his body with a blade is not a normal crime but a horrific incident that gives goosebumps.”
What is the whole case?
This incident is from the year 2017. When the accused kidnapped an innocent child aged 5 to 7 years, took him to a deserted place and attacked his head with stones several times. Even after this, he was not satisfied, so he injured his face, hands, shoulders and the whole body with a blade. After this, the accused ran away leaving the innocent child to die in a blood-soaked condition.
The accused is the father of three children
During the hearing of the case, Delhi’s Karkardooma Court said that it is surprising to think that the accused himself is the father of three children. Despite this, he tried to take the life of an innocent child so ruthlessly. This crime committed by the accused is a blot on the name of humanity.
The victim child is scared remembering the incident
During the hearing in Karkardooma Court, when the victim child appeared in the court for compensation, he was very scared in the court room despite 8 years having passed since the incident. However, during the hearing of this case, the child was repeatedly saying that the accused can harm him again.
The accused does not deserve mercy – Court
The Delhi court completely rejected the arguments of the accused’s financial condition and the future of his children in this case and said that such criminals should not get any sympathy in the society. The real place for such an accused is jail. So that it can become an example for others too.
Order to give compensation to the child
The Karkardooma Court has ordered the Delhi Legal Service Authority to give proper compensation to the victim child. The Karkardooma Court admitted that the victim child is still struggling with mental harassment and a feeling of fear about his safety.
