Devendra Fadnavis On Digital India: It has been 11 years since the revolution started in the country regarding ‘Digital India’. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Digital India and startups in the country. He has said that ‘Digital India’ is no longer just an initiative, it is the identity of India.
CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “The golden journey of Digital India started under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken India to the pinnacle of technological revolution in 11 years. Today 51.6 crore people are connected to DigiLocker, there are more than 97 crore internet users and more than 94 crore broadband connections are providing connectivity to every corner of the country.
Mention of startups along with digital security
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra also mentioned startups along with digital security and enumerated the benefits. He said, “With more than 1.5 lakh startups and more than 100 unicorns, India has become a center of innovation. Adopting this change, online facilities for citizens were provided in Maharashtra under the RTS Act and digital security of people was ensured through the Maha Cyber Abhiyan.
‘Digital India, Self-Reliant India’
He further said, “Thank you very much Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for realizing the dream of Digital India by empowering the common man by connecting them with technology. Come, let’s share this achievement and say Digital India, Self-Reliant India.”
‘Technology empowers the lives of poor people’
On the other hand, on the occasion of completion of 11 years of ‘Digital India’, PM Narendra Modi wrote on social media platform X on Thursday (June 12), “Leveraging the power of technology has brought countless benefits to the people. Service delivery and transparency have been greatly boosted. Technology has become a means of empowering the lives of the poorest people.”
