DGCA: After the plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, DGCA has taken a big decision and issued instructions to increase safety checks on Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft.

A major plane crash occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on June 12. Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft crashed, carrying 242 passengers. Many people have died in this accident. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was also on board the same plane. This accident has created a stir in the whole country. Meanwhile, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has issued instructions to increase safety checks on Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft. Let us tell you that the new directive will come into effect from 12 midnight on June 15, 2025.

DGCA gave these instructions on safety checks of Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft:

1- This check will be done before the flight of every aircraft

Fuel parameter monitoring and related systems will be checked.

Cabin air compressor and its associated systems will be checked.

Electronic engine control system will be tested.

Operational test of engine fuel driven actuator and oil system will be checked.

The serviceability of the hydraulic system will be checked.

Take-off parameters will be reviewed.

2- Now ‘Flight Control Inspection’ will be mandatory in transit inspection, which will remain in force till further orders.

3- Power assurance check, to be completed in the next two weeks.

4- Instructions to complete maintenance action as soon as possible based on the review of repeated technical faults in the last 15 days.

The flight was going to London when the accident happened

Let us tell you that the Air India plane which has been the victim of the accident was going from Ahmedabad to London with 242 passengers. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff. A total of 297 people, including 241 people on board the plane, have died in this accident. In this incident, only one person on board the plane has survived, who has been identified as Ramesh Vishwas Kumar, who is a British citizen.
