More than 25,000 tribal students from Alluri Sitarama Raju district took part in a massive yoga session in Visakhapatnam on Friday and created a new world record. The record may be officially announced on Saturday. Some of the students who participated in the session had undergone rigorous training for three to four months, but some others had only a few weeks to prepare. Before the session, the students were given yoga mats and issued barcodes, which were scanned to mark attendance. Under the guidance of senior yoga instructor Pathanjali Srinivas Rao, the participants started the session with ‘Omkaram’ and completed 108 Surya Namaskars in 108 minutes.
