New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack have been identified and will be killed soon. Sinha, while delivering a lecture on ‘Jammu and Kashmir: Towards Peace’ at Gandhi Smriti, stressed that any attempt to disturb peace in the Kashmir Valley will not succeed.
‘Good news will definitely come’
He said, “After the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan got a strong response through ‘Operation Sindoor’. The perpetrators of the attack have been identified and I can say with full confidence that it is difficult for them to be alive now. Good news will definitely come, but it would not be appropriate to give any specific date.”
26 people died in the Pahalgam attack
Sinha said that in the last five years, the top bosses of various terrorist organizations are also no longer alive and they (terrorists) will also have the same fate. In an attack on April 22 in Pahalgam in the Kashmir Valley, terrorists shot dead 26 people. Most of the people who lost their lives in the attack were tourists. In response to the attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the night of May 6 to target terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In this program organized under the chairmanship of former Union Minister and Gandhi Smriti Vice President Vijay Goyal, Sinha said, “With the efforts of the local administration and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are moving forward towards making Jammu and Kashmir the state of Gandhi’s dreams.” (With Bhasha inputs)
