CM Nitish wrote that we have been providing electricity to everyone at cheap rates since the beginning. Now we have decided that from August 1, 2025, i.e. from the bill of the month of July, all the domestic consumers of the state will not have to pay any money for electricity up to 125 units. This will benefit a total of 1 crore 67 lakh families of the state. We have also decided that in the next three years, by taking consent from all these domestic consumers, benefits will be given by installing solar power plants on the roofs of their houses or at the nearest public place.

He further said that under the Kutir Jyoti Yojana, the state government will bear the entire cost of installing solar power plants for the extremely poor families and the government will also provide proper support for the rest. With this, domestic consumers will no longer have to spend up to 125 units of electricity, as well as according to an estimate, up to 10 thousand MW of solar energy will be available in the state in the next three years.

When will the elections be held in Bihar
The term of the current government in Bihar is ending on 22 November. Before this, the election process will be completed by the Election Commission. It is believed that the assembly elections can be held in October or November. However, the work of voter revision is still going on in the state. The dates of the elections will be announced only after this work is completed.
