Gurugram Police has arrested three people while busting a sex racket in two spas in a building in Manesar. Officials gave this information on Wednesday (16 July). According to the police, they had received information that there are two spas named Oscar and Golden Gravity in Amrapali building located in Sector-2 of IMT Manesar, in which some women are running a sex racket under the guise of spa.
After this, the police team raided. Station in-charge Satendra Kumar said, “We sent our jawans to both the spa centers as a fake customer. They met the operators and fixed the rate and demanded women, to which the operators agreed. He also found a couple in an objectionable position in a spa centre.”
3 arrested including a woman in raid on spa
Station in-charge Satendra Kumar further said, ”On getting a hint from him, we raided the spa and arrested three people including a woman.” Police said that the accused have been identified as Oscar Spa manager Mahendra Kumar, customer Surjeet at the spa and Golden Gravity Spa owner Ashiya Khatoon.
Manager and woman admitted to running a sex racket
Police said that a woman present at the reception in one of the two spa centres allegedly admitted to running prostitution. Police claimed that during interrogation, the manager and the woman allegedly admitted to running a sex racket. A case has been registered against the spa owners and operators under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act at Palam Vihar police station. Police said that further investigation is underway.
This latest case comes a day after the police busted another similar alleged sex racket operating under the guise of a spa. In May last year, the city police arrested 10 people, including foreign women, from a hotel in Sector 57. Of the six women arrested, two each were from Bangladesh and Uzbekistan, who allegedly admitted to being involved in prostitution.
